garage band

I used garage band for the first time in media to create a sound mix. I learnt how to convert youtube videos into my itunes and put that in garage band by clicking on the media browser at he bottom right of the screen then downloading the soundtrack to garage band. I then can drag the soundtrack onto the track then then cut out parts of the sound, thats I wish, to do this I click on the scissor sign then use the arrow to drag and highlight what part i want to cut out. I then could sample different instruments then drag the sound into the track and overlap sounds, i can also edit the volume to have say the dialect louder and the piano sound in the backround.
