Skills Assessment

In my AS year, I learnt many new skills. I was introduced to Photoshop in graphics, which improved rapidly as I used it in both subjects. It was great to create magazine covers and contents pages, posters and advertisements. I am particularly good at manipulating images, which was useful when editing my images for my coursework. Next i was introduced to InDesign, which is use to create DPS's and many more, I find it a very useful skill and a great software to use when doing my AS coursework. Although I cant use it as smoothly as Photoshop as I haven't and as much practise. I find blogger very easy to use and it it is a great way to present my work. I am very confident with using Prezi and Windows Movie Maker, which i used in my coursework evaluation, as it is important to vary the way your work is presented.

I dont have very good skills in Final Cut Express or Garage Band as I have never been fully introduced to using it because I did a magazine in my AS year. However i am looking forward to using it to make my trailer, and hopefully will leave my A2 year knowing the ins and outs of Final Cut Express and Garage Band. Also even though i have good camera skills and understand what light works for my models, however my video camera skills aren't as developed as my photography skills therefore i will be able to improve and deepen my understanding of getting a good shot.
